They get paid through all the advertisements that are within the mail browser.

Reply:By all the advertising they do. From Netflix to movies coming out in theaters. They make plenty.
Reply:besides the ads, we are (willing) guinea pigs for yahoo, everytime we click on something, they make a record of it and then sell the overall statistics to advertisers. when you created your yahoo account, there was a message about how yahoo uses your information.

Reply:well they are a money giant , and just like ebay they are on the net , they must be getting paid by some company to be part of the internet super highway , but the sure thing i know is if they were to sell yahoo they would make a mint and be rich the rest of thier lives
