You should make habit of using secure unguessable passwords. The powerful password is one that contains combination of small/capital letters, numbers, special characters like !@#$^ and never use your account name, pets name , birth date (those are easily guessable passwords) etc.

To prevent this from happening always mix characters in your passwords. Make them Alpha numeric! Example...





M1-P4s$w0rd The more mix you have between letters numbers and symbols the better as this confuses password crackers!


Also It is a bad idea to use the remember my password setting on MSN Messenger and Hotmail as this is logged in the computer and people can get the password from something called a Key logger. My best advice for you is to change a, the password and b, the secret question you set in hotmail. If you still get hijacked use a different email for a while and then the hijacker will leave your old address alone. Then you can get back on it.
